Ashtyn “Boo Boo” was quite simply my miracle cow. She was a twin, born to our Miss Pooh on September 6, 2008. *Ashtyn* & *Rachel* were then named in honor of the neighborhood girls who alerted my husband to the calves births, and provided much needed assistance at the time. Sadly, Boo Boo was paralyzed giving birth to her first calf on April 10, 2010. After losing her calf to the trauma, she was left immobile, was pecked on by buzzards and we were told she would never stand, walk or give birth again. I promised myself if she survived, I would find a way to pay it forward.
Our great~niece would visit and ask to go see “the boo boo cow”, and after sitting on her knees during 4 long weeks of love and care, our Boo Boo Cow arose and stood again. She ultimately gave us a beautiful calf, Magic, on July 10, 2011. At that time, I was the co-chair of the Business Women's Council for the Port Orange-South Daytona Chamber of Commerce and our charity for Christmas was donating sweatshirts to a couple of schools. I quickly learned every school has a dedicated space where they keep clothes for children in need. That particular year was unusually cold, increasing demand for clean, warm sweatshirts. I decided then to create a charitable organization to donate sweatshirts for vulnerable children, and the Boo Boo Cow Foundation was formed.
Six more of Boo Boo Cow’s calves followed Magic. While our Boo Boo Cow left us a few years ago, her name lives on, and we believe we have made her proud! Please help us in our efforts to continue to reach local school children most in need. For every $6 donated, we can provide a new sweatshirt (up to a $34 retail value) for a child in need. Boo Boo Cow Foundation is a (501c)3 charitable organization dedicated to helping children in need. We are able provide brand new, quality hoodies to vulnerable school children in Volusia, Lake and Flagler schools.
As we close out 2025, we are thrilled to announce we have reached the huge milestone of 50,000 sweatshirts donated over the last 15 years, with 5,036 hoodies alone delivered to 86 Central Florida schools in 2025!

For every $6 donated, we purchase 1 new, quality hoodie. Sizes range from children's Small to adult 3XL to accommodate all needs.

Orders come in boxes of 24-36 hoodies (at our cost of $144 to $216 respectively) while providing comfort and dignity to 2 - 3 dozen children at a time!
*Our last order in 2025 was for 7 cases of hoodies and provided over 250 hoodies to 5 schools, ultimately reaching 50,000 donated hoodies! In honor of our humble beginnings, we also accept new and used sweatshirt donations. While we do prefer hoodies with pockets as they keep heads and hands nice and warm, we will accept crew necks as all donations are appreciated.
